Local author Ernie Hebert will speak at the library on Wednesday, March 18 at 6:30. Hebert, a New Hampshire native, is the author of the historical fiction novel The Old American (2000) and is perhaps best known for his Darby series, which began with The Dogs of March, the novel that first introduced readers to Howard Elman. His seventh novel in the series, Howard Elman’s Farewell, was published in 2014. The Darby series focuses on a fictional New Hampshire town as it transitions from a poor rural society to a more upscale, urban place.
