Our show of local art has been so well received that we have decided to extend it! The show will remain up through August 10th. If you have not yet seen it, stop in; it’s worth the trip. Over thirty local artists are represented, and we are fortunate to have several works by Marion Nicholl Rawson on display. Special thanks go out to Ellen Chase, curator extraordinaire! The show would never have happened without her vision, energy and labor. Thanks also to all the local artists who have participated in the show. Viewers have been amazed by the amount of talent represented in our little town.
We have new summer reading titles galore; look for fresh releases from Barbara Delinsky, Erin Hildebrand, Stephen King, Fern Michaels, Danielle Steel and other popular authors. You’ll also find The Yonahlossee Riding Camp for Girls, a title which has made it on many of the recommended summer reading lists. Carl Hiaasen’s latest book, Bad Monkey, has been enjoyed by every patron who has read it thus far.
Some literary titles made their way into the stacks as well. Colum McCann, winner of the National Book Award for Let the Great World Spin, has a new title out, Transatlantic. There are also new titles from Jeannette Walls, Chris Bohjalian and Simon Van Booy. Check out all of the new titles on our lists – July New Titles and August New Titles.
