We’re fortunate to have Dr. Alexis Chesney of Sojourns Community Health Clinic return to the Shedd-Porter on Wednesday, April 25 at 7p.m. She’ll share her knowledge of Lyme Disease, treatment options and tips for prevention. Her presentation will be followed by a question and answer session. This event is free and open to the public.

New Fiction Titles for April
Fans of Homer’s Iliad will want to pick up The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller. It’s a novel which focuses on the relationship between Patroclus & Achilles, following the legendary friendship from childhood through the Trojan War.
Another title worth watching is Carol Anshaw’s Carry the One, a novel destined to be a favorite of book groups in the coming year.

We’re pleased to have also added several works by local author and musician, Randy Miller – New England Fiddler’s Repertoire, his classic work on Contra Music, his 2011 book, Oberlin Fever, which relates the story of Oberlin College’s championship basketball season, and Randy’s latest cd,
